Thank goodness no one is hurt

I got a call this morning that a tornado ripped through Millard, Nebraska, blowing away part of my aunt and unlces home. Thankfully, no one was hurt but you can see them in this story on KETV.com.

Yes, it was quite ugly. It's really amazing no one was hurt because the tornado warnings didn't come out until after the tornados hit - and only ONE channel was one the ball and covering the storm. All the stores in our area of town (millard) are sold out of weather radios. Crazy.

Just moved to Corvallis in September - from Millard. Lived at around 156 & Q. (Looks like we were practically neighbors). Seemed strange not hearing any of those sirens this Spring - but how I missed the beauty of a lightening storm! :) "There's always something" to miss from somewhere. :) And to think I was worried about Tsumani's and earthquakes coming to Oregon when my roof may have been gone in Nebraska!

Made a trip over to Bend this week - GREAT town! I think of the houses we could have in Omaha for what we've paid here - but then again, we wouldn't have that ocean or that view from Pilot Butte! :) Enjoyed your blog! Thank you!
